To be noticed the presence of important yachts, a 70-meter, two 72 meters, a 83 meters, a 86 meters and a 89 meters. Remarkable the presence of Captains commanding 10 yachts built before the ‘80s as S/Y Zaca (43 mt.) built in 1929 in San Francisco on the eve of the Great Depression, a 118 ft schooner who sailed through seventy years of history, from an  extraordinary adventure to another.

Belonged to Errol Flynn, it was the movie set for “The Lady from Shanghai” starring Orson Welles and Rita Hayworth, voted as one of the most fascinating vessels in the world. Yare 2016 will see the presence of the Captain of M/Y Lady Heartha, built in 1930 by Yarrow & Co shipyard in Glasgow and designed by James Rennie Barnett, G L Watson & Co, the famous studio that have inspired in 1930 with Camper & Nicholson the design of the first Commercial Vessels (this yacht inspired the owner of the yacht “Taransay” launched in 2015).

Finally, the Captain of M/Y Istranka: the yacht built for Tito in 1956. Its name, “Lady of Istria”, it is a tribute to the beauty of Istria.  A strong presence of sailing yachts, which represent 15% of the total.

Captains joining the event Yare will attend also the Superyacht Captains’ Forum and the B2C meetings with the companies in Seatec, Carrarafiere. The pie chart shows the flag of the yachts represented. An interesting data is the one coming from the information about the shipyards of the Superyacht represented in YARE. The shipyards represented are 63: coming from Holland, Italy, UK, Usa, with the world leader companies of the sector (Amels, Benetti, Codecasa, CRN, Heesen, ISA, Perini Navi, Rossinavi, San Lorenzo, etc).

Confirmed the presence of the main Italian and international shipyards specialized in the building and refitting of Megayachts, as well as the most important Italian marinas. For the first time the foreign companies represent 50% of the total attending Companies. The participating companies attending Yare are 120.

An increasing interest towards Yare from the companies operating in the services sector, in particular in the flag administration, brokerage, insurances, yacht management, classification and certification institutes.Strong participation from international fleet management agencies (specialized in services, supply, refit).
