What about Canados? New owner, three product lines, one 90′ already sold and world-class designer.

Canados (1)[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Rome-based shipyard Canados has been sold last December to Mr. Michel Karsenti. Founded in 1946 under the brand Canados over 700 yachts in sizes up to 36 meters were delivered. Now with the new owner the shipyard is busy taking the first steps renovating and putting up-to-date the production facilities as well as the two marinas that are part of the shipyard. They will soon introduce new products on the market, with the aim of building “haut couture” products.

With immediate effect, Canados will produce three product lines, Canados Yachts, Gladiator Yachts and Oceanic Yachts.

Karsenti had more than 12 boats sold and produced at Canados in the past few years including his own 2014 new brand, Oceanic Yachts, that started business using Canados as a building contractor. Karsenti’s involvement with Canados has been a long-term ongoing relationship. Having built yachts from 21 to 80 meter all around the world, he has always been fascinated by the know-how, unique craftsmanship, knowledge and passion found at Canados.

About the future of Canados, Karsenti quoted:

Karsenti“I’m fascinated, year after year, visit after visit at Canados to still have the same magical feeling of how strong maritime traditions are embedded in workers DNA. I cannot say if this is linked to the 70 years the shipyard has been in business, or due to the fact Canados is located in the world’s richest region in terms of architecture, style and history Rome is known for, but I can surely say that the same feeling is shared by all the clients visiting us. I’ve truly seen incredible technical achievements performed by this unique team of craftsmen!”

A Tribute to Italy

As part of the celebration for the 70th anniversary of the shipyard, Canados has already adopted its new logo and brand identity. In April 2016, Canados will unveil its exclusive presentation book “Canados 70 years – A Tribute to Italy”.
