WORDS BY Patricia Billow and Pamela Paci

Marking a groundbreaking chapter for the Italian shipyard, the CRN M/Y Amor à Vida (‘Love for life’ in Portuguese) is a masterpiece of design and engineering. This made-to-measure, steel and aluminium displacement hull features a length overall of 67.55 metres, an 11.50-metre beam, and a gross tonnage of 1,447 GT.

A perfect distillation of expert know-how, the superyacht combines naval architecture by CRN and Ferretti Group with the creativity of Nuvolari Lenard. The renowned Italian studio sculpted both the sleek exteriors and the sophisticated interiors, the latter created in joint effort with Interior Art Director Valentina Zannier.

Spanning six expansive decks, Amor à Vida accommodates up to 12 guests and 17 crew members. The layout prioritizes a seamless continuity between interiors and exteriors, enhancing the spaces with generous, convivial volumes dedicated to social moments and wellness, all while keeping absolute privacy as a core trait.

Yet, her true revolution lies beneath the surface, where cutting-edge technology delivers silent comfort and unparalleled efficiency.

The guest cabins are uniquely redistributed across three levels: a private owner’s suite on the Upper Deck, a full-beam VIP cabin positioned forward on the Main Deck, and four elegant VIP cabins on the Lower Deck, all beautifully enhanced by custom furnishings crafted from sophisticated, highly valued materials.

Equipped with a state-of-the-art hybrid propulsion system and an innovative heat recovery mechanism that repurposes energy to warm the onboard water systems, Amor à Vida reflects an evolved vision of cruising and life at sea, proving that grand artistic vision and environmental consciousness can exist in perfect harmony on the open water.

Moran Yacht & Ship played a key role as the owner’s representative, overseeing project management activities throughout the entire construction process. The Brokerage house supervised all stages of the project: technical checks and approvals, direct project coordination, on-site inspections, and support managing external contractors. The owner and his guests deploy the superyacht for private cruises and in dedicated periods of the year Amor à Vida is available for chartering.

Born as Project Maranello, the design origins from the owner’s passion for luxury cars and recall a symbol of Italian excellence, high technology and custom design. The exterior styling has a sophisticated elegance, with an articulated design that showcases sleek, taut, flowing, powerful and sculpted lines, revealing a strong identity that can embrace the owner’s specific requirements, echoing his vision and way of living on the water.

The striking curved lines of the yacht’s silhouette sweep down from the bow on the Upper Deck to the beach club and merge into the wake when cruising. The main mast dominating the entire structure completes the elegant combination of curved forms that make this yacht unique.

Full-beam glazing on all decks offers endless views of the horizon, creating a visual continuum that tracks the elegant external architecture. This design floods the settings with natural light, establishing constant contact with the water.

True to her name, Amor à Vida embodies the owner’s philosophy — a celebration of conviviality and the magic of the sea, providing a peerless vantage point from which to explore the world’s oceans. The yacht’s leitmotiv is sociability and fluidity between indoor and outdoor spaces, specifically designed to welcome guests into refined settings featuring exquisite design in maximum comfort.

Tactile Craftsmanship and Organic Curves

Stepping inside, Amor à Vida reveals a masterclass in discreet luxury, where interior details are shaped by exquisite bespoke craftsmanship. The design establishes a carefully curated color continuum: pale, muted tones flow seamlessly across walls, ceilings, and floors, echoing through the freestanding furniture. Custom-textured fabrics, refined furnishings, and premium woods unite under a contemporary, sophisticated aesthetic.

Serving as the dramatic fil rouge of the entire interior mood board, a rich peacock blue elegantly punctuates the spaces — a sophisticated tribute to the owner’s deep passion for the ocean. This fluid aesthetic goes far beyond the color palette; it defines the very geometry of the interior architecture.

Mirroring the yacht’s exterior silhouette, the indoor volumes flow effortlessly without a single sharp corner or edge. This organic approach transforms the superyacht into a magnificent blank canvas, intentionally conceived to allow the owner to imprint his personal vision through marine-themed detailing, custom decoration systems, and tailored color schemes.

Silent Efficiency

Amor à Vida relies on pioneering engineering to deliver silent comfort: the vessel is powered by an advanced hybrid propulsion system that drastically increases the fuel efficiency of both  engines and generators, translating into remarkably smooth, near-silent cruising. Complementing this powertrain, a cutting-edge heat recovery system captures thermal energy to significantly reduce overall power consumption and operating costs — a technical solution that proves particularly invaluable when the yacht is peacefully anchored offshore.

Bringing a vessel of this complexity to life required an extraordinary synergy of talent. CRN worked in coordination with the owner’s project management team, the owner’s representative Moran Yacht  & Ship, design firm  Nuvolari Lenard, and an elite selection of subcontractors. Together, this collaborative powerhouse achieved the highest global standards of excellence, delivering a flawless synthesis of quality, innovative design, and leading-edge performance.

MAIN DECK

The Main Deck blends indoor and outdoor spaces, creating an expansive continuum for socialization and wellness. The aft deck centers around a swimming pool with peacock mosaic tiles and hydromassage jets. Powered by the heat recovery system, its transparent bottom floods the underlying beach club with light.

The adjacent custom lounge showcases curved sofas, a drop-down TV, and a glass skylight. A flush, sliding glass panel opens into the radiant main salon, wrapped in floor-to-ceiling windows. Here, polished sycamore ceilings with pale nubuck inserts create a velvety atmosphere, complemented by hand-stitched leather columns and prized Java teak flooring.

An artistic table separates the living zone from the formal dining area for 12 guests. Opposite stands a spectacular American bar in crystal quartzite and plaster casts of marine ropes — a nautical motif repeated across furnishings and custom rugs.

Forward, the main salon concludes with a relaxed, automated media lounge. The central lobby reveals a circular layout highlighted by a custom teak and metal floor. At its core, a circular elevator with a woven leather handrail connects all decks, flanked by a staircase whose steps blend into the walls.

Moving forward past the day head, the layout opens into a full-beam VIP suite that can split into two cabins via a moving partition. Reflecting the color palette, this suite features a peacock blue theme with custom woodwork, sycamore, and curved metal wall accents. Finally, the bow garage houses water toys and two tenders. The crown jewel is a 35-knot limo tender by IC Yachts, boasting Bugatti-inspired interiors that echo Amor à Vida’s lines and the owner’s passion for automotive design.

LOWER DECK

Aft, the spectacular beach club is a multifunctional oasis harmoniously combining elegant design with total well-being. A standout technical feature is the innovative stern door which fully retracts beneath the swim platform, disappearing from view to maximize space.

Beach area

The area features three dramatic fold-down sections at the water’s edge, hosting a refined lounge, fitness area, and wellness spa. Inside the specially designed gym, the floor was intentionally lowered to increase headroom and enhance safety. This fitness equipment can also be moved onto the starboard terrace for a scenic, water-level workout.

These custom spaces showcase sophisticated woods, leathers, and fabrics, featuring teak walls, nubuck coverings, and wave-like headboards. In the bathrooms, Taj Mahal marble vanities sit opposite the windows, using sliding mirrors to reflect natural light throughout.

Towards the bow, the crew quarters exemplify CRN’s high build quality. Designed with a focus on well-being, the generous layout includes a spacious pantry, cabins for the chief and first officers, and seven double cabins, all featuring refined materials in keeping with the yacht’s main décor.
