Pearl 62 presented at BOOT Düsseldorf

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he British shipyard Pearl Yachts officially presented Pearl 62 at this year’s Boot Düsseldorf. The new model, featuring exterior design and naval architecture by Bill Dixon and interior design by Kelly Hoppen MBE, is unique in its category: she features four spacious guest cabins and a full beam owner suite in just 18.61 meters.

Managing director Iain Smallridge commented: “We are delighted to present the latest addition to the Pearl yachts fleet, the Pearl 62, a yacht where flow and connection between indoors and out mean that the quality of the on-board living experience is excellent. Those who already know our yachts will recognize the sporty exterior lines and the luxurious and meticulously planned interiors because for this series we have again turned to our excellent team of British designers, Bill Dixon and Kelly Hoppen. Aboard the Pearl 62 owners will find all the quality and luxury that they expect from Pearl with a layout that lets them enjoy their natural surroundings in the company of their loved ones.”

The new Pearl 62 has sporty lines that link her unmistakably to the other models in the Pearl fleet such as the Pearl 80 and the Pearl 95. Other highlights include a spacious full-length flybridge complete with wet bar and a galley that opens directly on to the aft cockpit. Volvo IPS propulsion and joystick control make Pearl 62 fuel efficient, easy to handle and fun to helm.

While designing the Pearl 62, Dixon Yacht Design focused on bringing some of the design features of the larger Pearl models to a smaller hull and improve on them in the process.

Bill Dixon states: “When we started on the Pearl 62, we wanted to keep the strong Pearl DNA that runs through the 95 and the 80, both in terms of comfort and in terms of on-board volumes. We have achieved our goal with a yacht that packs an awful lot in to just 62’. I think it’s safe to say that the Pearl 62 has class leading design features right across the board and I can’t help but feel proud of the work we have done here.”

Designing as a continuous, harmonious whole was also the approach used by interior designer Kelly Hoppen, whose unmistakable touch and sophisticated taste can be found in every meticulously crafted detail aboard the Pearl 62. The interior design is both an evolution of the Pearl range and homage to the aura of truly luxurious yachts from days gone by. Hoppen’s goal was to create a home-away-from-home feeling through neutral tones and intricate detailing.

The designer commented: “It was a pleasure to work with Pearl Yachts on the newest addition to their fleet, the Pearl 62. As with all my designs and my ethos, everything from accessories to the finishes has been created with luxury comfort in mind. There’s a real sense of calm in the yacht interiors that feature my neutral colour palette, luxurious bedding, cushions and throws”.
As with all new Pearl Yachts, the Pearl 62 comes with a unique and comprehensive five-year warranty, three years longer than most other new boat warranties.
