Heesen Project Ayla is sold. “Owning a yacht is an exhilarating, pampered and joyful experience”.

[dropcap]H[/dropcap]eesen has announced the sale of Project Ayla, the new 50metre semi-displacement yacht with delivery scheduled in April 2018. The client was introduced by Abberley Luxury Yachts, a British yachting brokerage company dedicated to ensuring that chartering and owning a yacht is an exhilarating, pampered and joyful experience for its clients.

The 5000 aluminium class epitomizes Heesen’s ability to create successful semi-custom superyachts highly customisable to incorporate the client’s taste and lifestyle.

Created to meet the demand for shorter deliveries and to avoid compromising on quality, the 5000 aluminium platform is based on proven design and tested technology – reducing the delivery time by approximately six months. Furthermore, Heesen financial independence, allowed to begin the construction of Ayla on speculation, further shortening her delivery time.

Ayla is a full aluminium performance yacht below the 500GT threshold, with a highly efficient hard-chine hull built according to Heesen’s acknowledged expertise in weight reduction. Powered by two high power-to-weight ratio MTU 2,880kW engines, Ayla will reach a maximum speed of 23 knots and will have a long range of 3.100 nautical miles at 11 knots.

Acclaimed Italian designer Cristiano Gatto – at his sixth collaboration with this Dutch shipyard – created a chic minimalist interior, a contemporary interpretation of New Déco. The extensive use of upholstery, both on vertical and horizontal surfaces, allows Ayla’s new owners to choose material and colour palettes to create the atmosphere that meets their taste. The design offers comfort and cosiness thanks to the use of soft chenille fabric, while high gloss ebony and Canaletto walnut timbers confer a very luxurious feel throughout the whole interior.

Heesen Interiors fine wood-carpenters will work for the next six months to carve and sculpt this refined interior design.
