Hakvoort Shipyard, working in close cooperation with Ocean Independence & Ocean Management has delivered the 38,25-metre superyacht Soprano to her first-time owners (UPDATE: JUNE 2017)

[dropcap]A[/dropcap] glorious moment for her owner to see his dream yacht in the water. The yacht, revealed her name during her launch as it appeared on her sides when she smoothly slipped into the water. Designed with a displacement-type hull shape, she features a flared V-sections in the bow, large overhangs, a moderate deadrise amidships and a canoe stern. Her exterior is designed by Diana Yacht Design who is also responsible for the naval architecture. The classic nautical interior is from the boards of Felix Buytendijk.

Soprano was sold in October 2014 by Ocean Independence, who also provided full project management services and will be acting as operational managers from delivery.

Soprano is the first yacht Hakvoort will deliver with the Lloyds Register Green Passport, an inventory of hazardous materials onboard, complying the requirements of IMO resolution A.962. This long range ocean cruiser is also built to Lloyds and MCA specifications.

Fine ensuite accommodations are found on the lower deck, containing a vip stateroom and two double guest staterooms one of which has been fitted with a pair of pullman berths.

Located on the main deck, the owner’s suite include a stateroom with a king-size bed and bathroom forward. The main lounge has two sofas in an open plan arrangement with the dining area, which centres on a table for 10 guests.

The beautiful open aft area features a built-in seating with teak table. A foldout platform admidships will be recessed into the side the hull giving acces to the water for boarding and swimming.

On the bridge deck is another lounge, which leads out on to a delightful open aft area with al fresco dining table for 10 guests. The aft deck also houses the main tender while the fore deck features a laser sailboat and the MOB tender.

The sun deck features a wealth of open space for sunbathing as well as another built-in seating with teak table. A large whirlpool bathtub forward will be able to accommodate four to six people and a BBQ grill is be installed in the bar.

The captain’s cabin is found aft of the wheelhouse and the crew accommodation below is exceptionally spacious and well-fitted. Crew quarters include a well-equipped mess, three comfortable cabins and smart passages to storage areas and technical spaces.

Ideal for global bluewater cruising and available for charter in the Mediterranean through Ocean Independence, the yacht provides ample accommodation and amenities for 10 guests and 7 crew.
