Built by the renowned Genoa-based shipyard Mariotti Yachts in 2012, M/Y Persefoni is a 53.8-metre masterpiece of Italian engineering, designed by Luca Dini Design & Architecture. Following an extensive 2023 refit, this iconic vessel has been reborn as a premier charter choice, gracefully cruising the Ionian and Cyclades islands of Greece.

Few yachts embody the spirit of the Greek islands like the 53.8m Persefoni: True to her mythological namesake, Persefoni is a fusion of design, bespoke interiors, and ancient myth, telling the story of a vessel whose identity and essence are inseparable from the Aegean Sea.

A Vessel Born of Mythology
Persefoni is the Greek goddess of spring — daughter of Zeus and Demeter, queen of the underworld, and the deity who turns the wheel of the seasons. She is one of the most ancient and resonant figures in Greek mythology, and a name that carries with it the full weight of a civilisation that understood, more than any other, the relationship between the human world and the natural one.
For a vessel that spends her life moving between the islands where that mythology was born — Delos, sacred birthplace of Apollo; Santorini, risen from volcanic fire; the quiet coves of the Ionian where Odysseus sailed — the name is not decoration. It is identity.

The Design: Luca Dini and the Architecture of Light
Both interior and exterior spaces were conceived by Luca Dini Design & Architecture. The yacht showcases a minimalist and sophisticated design accentuated by expansive windows that flood the space with natural light — a design decision that feels instinctively right in a cruising ground where the quality of Aegean light at dawn and dusk is among the world’s most celebrated natural phenomena.

Hydraulic balconies extend from the master suite, and an extra balcony is accessible from the main deck foyer — details that dissolve the boundary between the vessel’s interior world and the Greek seascape beyond. At 928 GT and a 10.5-metre beam, the volumes available are exceptional for 53.8 metres, and Luca Dini has used them with characteristic intelligence and restraint.

The Greek Islands: A Cruising Ground Worthy of Her Name
In Greece, history is alive: ancient temples overlooking marinas, Byzantine chapels perched above coves, Venetian castles guarding harbours. Pair this depth of culture with Mediterranean cuisine — fresh seafood, island wines, olive oil, and produce from local markets — and every stop becomes a sensory highlight.

The Cyclades are considered by many to be the archetypal Greek islands, home to some of Greece’s top superyacht destinations. A Cyclades cruise is sipping a cocktail at sunset by a cliff-top infinity pool high above the Aegean, or shopping in designer boutiques along the whitewash and bougainvillea lanes of Mykonos — the epicentre of summer action in Greece.

Hydra, found in the Saronic Islands, is a place full of history and intrigue — once the home of many Greek naval ships, a must-see when cruising the Greek islands, with a crescent-shaped harbour offering lovely restaurants and bays that are perfect for dropping anchor from a superyacht.

The Mariotti Foundation and the 2023 Refit
Although not a young vessel, Persefoni’s Italian DNA and timeless elegance can easily compete with the best — this alluring, all-white superyacht that seems to float above water gracefully was born more than a decade ago under a different name.

In 2012, Mariotti Yachts unveiled the motor yacht at the famous Monaco Yacht Show as a sistership to the already-famous Sea Force One — part of the same successful series, created by the same legendary designer, Luca Dini. The comprehensive 2023 refit brought every system, finish, and guest space fully in line with contemporary standards, ensuring Persefoni carries the confidence of a proven hull with the freshness of a recently updated vessel.
