Wellness is no longer just an amenity; it is becoming the core framework of luxury vessel architecture. Benetti has officially introduced Clear Waves, a striking 70-meter megayacht that elevates personal health and longevity to a primary design principle. The innovative project is the fruit of a cross-disciplinary partnership bringing together the shipbuilding mastery of Benetti, the creative vision of LUCA DINI Design & Architecture, and the specialized expertise of The Longevity Suite.
The concept represents a profound shift in how life on board is conceived. Sebastiano Vida, Head of Product at Benetti, explains the philosophy driving the new vessel: “If Benetti’s Oasis Deck® has redefined the relationship between the yacht and the sea, with Clear Waves the yacht looks to the sky and to the human being. The starting point is the individual and, in particular, the principles of longevity,”
This innovative blueprint is systematically structured around five core pillars: environment, movement, social connection, mental and spiritual wellbeing, and technology. Together, these elements form a comprehensive, holistic ecosystem tailored entirely to the guest experience.

The Evolution of Space
In traditional superyacht design, spa and fitness facilities are typically retrofitted into an already established layout. Clear Waves completely flips this classic paradigm on its head. The entire structural configuration of the 70-meter yacht revolves around the physical and psychological harmony of the individual. On this vessel, wellness is not treated as an isolated activity or restricted to a single room; it is woven into the very fabric of daily life. This is reflected in everyday details, ranging from continuously purified air supply systems to optimized sleep-comfort solutions and carefully calculated color palettes designed to shift harmoniously according to the time of day.
Architectural distribution plays a pivotal role in this transformation, completely upending standard spatial hierarchies. The dedicated wellness center, which is traditionally relegated to the lower deck of large yachts, has been elevated to the most prestigious real estate on board: the upper deck. This area serves as the true focal point of the vessel, where natural greenery and living plants frame a sanctuary complete with panoramic relaxation zones, a specialized food and beverage island, custom hot and cold hydrotherapy circuits, and the latest advancements in treatment technology.

The Glass Dome: A Regenerative Biosphere
The crown jewel of Clear Waves is undoubtedly its Glass Dome, an architectural masterpiece that represents the ultimate fusion of advanced technology and human wellness. This monumental glass structure spans 400 square meters across two decks and is engineered to be entirely energy self-sufficient. Offering an uninterrupted, 360-degree panorama of the open sea, the dome blurs the line between interior luxury and the natural environment, flooding the yacht’s core with changing daylight from sunrise to stargazing hours.
To overcome the immense thermal and energy management challenges of such an extensive glass canvas, the dome acts as an active power source. Over 60% of its surface is embedded with translucent photovoltaic cells. The low-emissivity glass blocks harmful UV rays and filters infrared radiation. Inside, air is continually sanitized, and the temperature is micro-regulated via a direct-expansion HVAC system featuring Capacity on Demand technology. Furthermore, the dome’s precise geometry harnesses the natural “stack effect” to stimulate air circulation, paired with floor-level air intake to eliminate uncomfortable direct drafts. Every sensory variable—light, air, water, and sound—has been calibrated for deep comfort.
Luca Dini describes the creative journey behind this feature: “Designing Clear Waves, meant interpreting the new era of regenerative luxury through the distinctive language of our studio: an ongoing dialogue in which pure architecture and yacht design merge into a single language. We conceived the spaces as a true living ecosystem, where the magnificence of the Glass Dome erases the boundaries between people, the environment and the sea. It is the perfect expression of our vision: turning naval architecture into a sanctuary of wellbeing, where light, proportions and the owner’s quality of life define the shape of the future.”

The Longevity Suite: The Science of Wellbeing
To ensure the onboard experience is backed by rigorous scientific expertise, Benetti collaborated with The Longevity Suite, a leading authority in anti-aging and integrated health.
Luigi Caterino, CEO of The Longevity Suite, explains the mission behind their involvement:
“The aim of this collaboration is to move beyond the traditional concept of onboard wellness and transform time spent on a yacht into an opportunity to continue a journey of prevention, awareness, recovery and self-care. Privacy, quality time and personalisation make the yacht a particularly fitting environment for a longevity approach centred on understanding one’s own biology and the ability to influence one’s physical and psychological balance.”
As a result, Clear Waves acts as a floating clinic, offering tailor-made biological assessments alongside high-tech biohacking and recovery protocols. Guests have access to advanced equipment including a Cryosuite Total Body setup, Dry Floating tanks, Near-Infrared Therapy, Hydrogen-Oxygen Therapy, and a Revital Chamber—all fine-tuned to restore vital energy, reduce stress, and maximize mental clarity.

Aware Engineering and Eco-Conscious Propulsion
Benetti’s focus on the individual naturally mirrors its commitment to protecting the ocean ecosystem. Sebastiano Vida connects these two principles: “The Clear Waves project stems from a profound intuition: if sustainability means taking care of the environment, longevity means taking care of the individual over time. From this perspective, sustainability and longevity become two sides of the same coin. The engineering of Clear Waves thus charts a course towards the future, in perfect continuity with our Green Route – the research programme through which Benetti has been developing concrete solutions for environmental sustainability for more than twenty years – with this project marking a new chapter.”
This philosophy materializes in a highly sophisticated hybrid propulsion platform featuring a dual-fuel system. Developed alongside Meccano Engineering and already validated by Lloyd’s Register, the platform is fully ready for HVO biofuel and methanol.
An intelligent Power Management System oversees all generation, storage, and consumption on board. The yacht leverages more than 250 square meters of high-efficiency solar panels, producing up to 120 kWh of clean electricity. State-of-the-art heat recovery loops, advanced water treatment plants, and rigorous emission controls round out a technical package designed for maximum efficiency.
With Clear Waves, Benetti’s industrial engineering, Luca Dini’s spatial poetry, and The Longevity Suite’s medical science come together to draft the definitive blueprint for the superyacht of tomorrow.
