Rosewood Beijing, the first China hotel for Rosewood Hotels & Resorts

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he new luxury hotel opened mid-October 2014, with the visceral excitement of China’s capital city – highways and hutongs, soaring architectural extravagances and quaint ancient temples, contradictions and contrasts – an integral part of its experience. Passing between the towering “Sons of Dragon” statues guarding the entrance and arriving at a foliage-filled courtyard, is designed to evoke a sensation of entering a private mansion haven in the city, albeit one from which the views are dominated by the iconic, CCTV tower opposite, a shiny-silver architectural statement piece that embodies the nation’s grand ambitions.

The 283-room ultra-luxury Rosewood Beijing,features six restaurants and lounges including Bistrot B and Bistrot Lounge and Bar, Red Bowl stylish hot pot restaurant, Mei bar, Country Kitchen and House of Dynasties Chinese restaurants. Meeting and function space, totaling 3,350 square metres, will include a pillar-less ballroom and The Pavilion residential-style event venue. The first Rosewood Sense® spa in Asia features an indoor swimming pool, gym and yoga studio. The hotel has had its debut with the Manor Club, the Rosewood’s sophisticated, exclusive access executive lounge.
