Dutch yacht builder AMELS announced at the beginning of this month the sale of a new 55-metre AMELS 180 from the Limited Editions range. The Buyer was represented by Peter Brown of Burgess. The new superyacht has an extended 28-metre long Sun Deck, six luxury suites and three folding balconies and will be delivered in summer 2018.
The highly sought exterior are designed by Tim Heywood while the fresh and contemporary interior style is a creation by Laura Sessa.
This year the shipyard celebrates 100 years of the AMELS brand. AMELS has been part of the Dutch family-owned Damen Shipyards Group since 1991. They operate 33 shipyards around the world and have delivered more than 6,000 vessels. The Limited Editions approach was introduced by Chairman Kommer Damen and up to now more than 30 units from 55 to 83 metres in length have been sold.
