New 73m Feadship Project 705 out of shed

[dropcap]C[/dropcap]ommissioned by a Feadship repeat client, the new 72.85-metre yacht emerged into the light last night, showing a beautiful combination of a dark blue hull, white superstructure and a continuous band of glass which is flush to the exterior. Striking glass railings with a teak cap rail offered another visual treat, along with a wealth of stainless steel and high gloss eucalyptus details. Once launched, this will be the third birth in the Feadship fleet this year, after Moonrise and Arrow.

The new build is the result of the spirit of cooperation between the owner’s team, the designers from RWD, which took care of both exteriors and interiors, Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects and the yard in Aalsmeer.

Powered by 2x MTU 16V4000M63R / 1920 kW @ 1600 rpm, the new megayacht, whose name will be only unveiled at the launch ceremony, is expected to reach in terms of speed 16 knots (max) / 14 knots (cruise).

Project manager Gerhard Dekker commented: “It may be a cliché but I truly believe that it takes a team to build a dream, and the way in which everyone has played their part in creating this exceptional vessel is a textbook example of teamwork.”

The yard has anticipated that many innovative features have been integrated onboard and they will be soon unveiled.
