DESIGN, HIGH CUISINE, ART AND FASHION AT THE VERSILIA YACHTING RENDEZ-VOUS

[dropcap]J[/dropcap]ust a few days from the début of the Versilia Yachting Rendez-Vous, the international show organised by Fiera Milano and dedicated to the top of the nautical range in Viareggio from 11 to 14 May, a jam-packed calendar of collateral events is developing, to animate the four days of the show. This is a series of events dedicated to buyers, exhibitors and visitors that will involve all of Versilia.

It all starts on [highlight color=”yellow”]Thursday 11 May[/highlight], the first day of the show, with the inaugural ceremony and the cutting of the ribbon in the presence of the local dignitaries at 11.30 am, and continues with a welcome drink and visit to the exhibition along the docks in Viareggio.

At 3 pm, the conference “Yachting and Design: Market Industry and Lifestyle”, organized by Nautica Italiana and hosted by Perini Navi Shipyard (inside the event, Darsena Italia). An opportunity to present the new highlights of “Super Yacht Market Monitor” made by  Altagamma e Deloitte and to debate the role of design for the high end industry.

craccoThe evening will end in the beautiful setting of the Gran Teatro Giacomo Puccini, where a gala dinner will be held, by the multi-starred chef Carlo Cracco, reserved for institutional guests and exhibitors, as well as representatives of the boatyards. The evening will have an exceptional host: the famous showgirl and television presenter Natasha Stefanenko. The atmosphere will then be livened up by the notes of arias by Giacomo Puccini, the famous composer from Lucca, while the taste buds are brought to life with the dishes created especially for the event by the famous chef.

Quality and excellence will be the key words on the second day of the show, [highlight color=”yellow”]Friday 12 May[/highlight]. It begins at 11 am with the CNA Produzione Nautica convention, which will present the fifth edition of the study on “Market dynamics and prospects for the nautical leisure craft production chain”, an instrument to help understand the sector and to guide companies, operators and institutions in defining future strategies. The meeting will take place in the convention area on the dock.

At 12.30 am, Carlo Cracco will present his new book “È nato prima l’uovo o la farina?” in the space reserved for Radio Monte Carlo, a partner in the event, and this will be followed by a visit of the boat show.

The evening will end with the “Viareggio Happy Hour” organised on the city’s promenade in collaboration with, among others Grey Goose and Cantine Ferrari, with a DJ set organised by Radio Monte Carlo. Inside the Versilia Yachting Rendez-vous circuit, and in the beach facilities along the shores of Viareggio, there will be several gourmet street food stations.

imageThe combination between art and the nautical industry will be the leitmotif of the third day, [highlight color=”yellow”]Saturday 13 May[/highlight]. In collaboration with the Municipality of Pietrasanta, an artistic, cultural, and convivial itinerary will be created in the beautiful setting of Pietrasanta. Even the exhibition stands of the Versilia Yachting Rendez-vous will be transformed into wonderful art galleries, offering the clients and guests a day of culture and business onboard their vessels. The day will end with a nautical themed happy hour in the pubs and bars of Pietrasanta, which will all share the fil rouge of the Versilia Yachting Rendez-vous.

The final day in Forte dei Marmi is dedicated to shopping, on [highlight color=”yellow”]Sunday 14 May[/highlight]. The town centre will host various initiatives aimed at giving visitors a unique experience dedicated to fashion. Shops in the centre will remain open all day, and in the central Piazza Mazzini, a show room will be set up, dedicated to the Versilia Yachting Rendez-vous. In addition, the exhibitors will be given a VIP bracelet which will allow them to book a personal shopper to spend a day among the boutiques of Forte dei Marmi, to enjoy a tax free service at the Pisa and Florence airports, and to use a shuttle bus service to and from Viareggio.
