Baglietto sold a new 40m to an American owner

[dropcap]B[/dropcap]aglietto, the historical La Spezia-based shipyard, has announced today a new order for an innovative 40 m aluminum RPH fast displacement yacht for an American owner.

The exterior lines of this new vessel have been penciled by Horacio Bozzo to reflect its owner’s sporty, elegant character.

Horacio Bozzo, argentinian yacht designer and naval architect, began his career in Rome before going to the USA. In 1996 he set up the Axis Group Yacht Design studio, involving collaborations all over Europe, America and Asia.

The interiors are designed by the Italian-London Architect Achille Salvagni, renowned all over the world also for his sophisticated design and furniture pieces.

Achille Salvagni is recognised as one of the most sophisticated and innovative creatives. His influences range from the rich heritage of generations before him, to] the cutting-edge design tendencies of today.

Michele Gavino, Baglietto’s CEO, comments:

“This new work order was received at the beginning of the new year, but is in fact the result of a very demanding, and yet extremely satisfying, 2017. Following the signature of a contract for a 54 m yacht last summer, this is the second fully-custom project we have secured. To build these new yachts, we have developed two platforms capable of meeting the requirements and performance expected by our Clients, this bears witness, once more, to our shipyard’s will to keep pursuing technical innovation and developing our naval engineering capabilities”.

This new 40m modern elegant yacht joins other 4 vessels currently under construction at the La Spezia shipyard: a new 54 m yacht, a 55 m T-Line displacement vessel in steel and aluminum, a 43 m Fast Line, and a new 48 m T-Line boat, the twin of the latest vessel launched at the shipyard, Andiamo, which is going to be the protagonist of the next nautical season, starting in September.
